Volkswagen is making head-up display a standard equipment option in all current and future electric vehicles in the ID family. But it is not enough to make a head-up display, which, in principle, is already used on many cars, the German automaker decided to improve the system by combining the virtual and real worlds.
The system’s innovative interface literally complements reality by superimposing the symbols of the driver’s chosen functions on the world behind the windshield. For example, the navigation system will project the turn or direction symbols directly onto the glass, and they will, as it were, follow the change in location overboard. Judging by the Volkswagen presentation video, it will be quite convenient, not to distract the driver from the road, and at the same time not to interfere with the view. What can I say, thought out, with German pedantry. And the fact that this function will be usual already in the basic configuration of ID.3 and ID.4 is also a plus for Volkswagen’s karma.
Here, as they say, not by nightfall will be remembered
