The new Audi E-Tron GT is ready to compete with Tesla both on the track and at the charging station.
German automakers do not hide the fact that future Audi E-Tron GT and Porsche Taycan models have been developed together, so that in essence they are two parts of the same platform. However, each of these electrocars will have their own individual characteristics, despite the overall architecture, which will also be used as a base for creating Taycan Cross Turismo.
Audi E-Tron GT will be slightly more focused on comfort than Taycans, while two electric motors that feed it will be slightly reduced with a total capacity compared to their brothers from Stuttgart. The concept car E-Tron GT had a total of 590 horsepower, but it is likely that this figure will grow to about 650 horsepower on the serial model, it is possible only when using the «acceleration mode».
The production of the car has already begun at the end of last year, but Audi for some strange reason still does not openly show a new electric car, and those that go to the road are still tightened by camouflage film. Probably, everyone is waiting for an enchanting presentation, on one of the upcoming auto show. It is promised to be released on sale in the second half of the year.
Concept-car was able to accelerate to 100 km / seemingly over 3.5 seconds, and up to 200 km / h in just 12 seconds. Taycan Turbo S these indicators will be even more interesting thanks to an 800 volt architecture and a complex cooling system, its rechargeable battery must withstand multiple runs from the place without prejudice to the acceleration indicators. Taycan Turbo S will be able to produce up to 750 horsepower with activated boost mode.

But the competition is coming not only for kilowatts of power and a prestigious price. Another charge rate indicator is important. And in this sector also goes «Race». TESLA V3 Superchargers can develop power up to 250 kW, and in the meantime Audi E-TURBO S or #porsche Taycan Turbo s can already «digest» charging on the enormous «speed» 270 kW.
