Hyperloop transported the first passengers.

The project of the super-high-speed transport system Hyperloop, once started by Elon Musk, and later, sent by him on a «free voyage», not only did not cease to exist, as many thought, but continues to develop and bring results.

The company recently held its first passenger test drive. The Hyperloop capsule housed two people, and they raced in it along the test section of the system at a speed of just over 170 km / h, not far from Las Vegas. Virgin Hyperloop plans to build a commercial transportation system and start operating it by 2030. It is assumed that one serial Hyperloop passenger capsule will accommodate up to 28 passengers.

Jay Walder, CEO of Virgin Hyperloop

Virgin Hyperloop says the capsule completed more than 400 runs through the 500-meter unmanned test tunnel before it made its first test drive with two passengers on board. The maximum speed was 172 km / h. The roadmap for the development of the project implies the certification of the system as a transport system capable of carrying passengers by 2025, and the first line should be put into commercial operation in 2030.

The project, of course, is not developing as fast as we would like, but there is every reason to believe that the innovative transport system will be put into commercial operation in due time. Passengers and cargo will be transported along its lines. Currently, the main locations for the development of Hyperloop are the United States, the Arabian Peninsula, and India.
